What You Might Be Noticing in Your Child

You may be seeing patterns that suggest your child is dealing with specific fears, performance-based anxiety, or difficulty adapting to major changes. These issues often show up in very consistent ways, such as:

  • Freezing, blanking, or shutting down during tests or evaluations

  • Avoiding situations where they might be observed, judged, or expected to perform

  • Shifts in emotional intensity or reactions that feel out of proportion to the situation

  • Lower confidence, increased self-criticism, or distress related to body image or appearance

These reactions are often rooted in familiar childhood fears about, being good enough, being accepted, or meeting expectations and can disrupt thinking and confidence, keeping your child from being themselves and demonstrating their capabilities.

How ART Helps

Using Accelerated Resolution Therapy we can reduce the internal intensity behind anxiety, stress, or difficult experiences. When that intensity comes down, kids can think more clearly, stay more present, and engage in situations that previously felt overwhelming.

  • They stop freezing or blanking during tests and can finally demonstrate what they’re capable of.

  • They approach new or unfamiliar situations with more confidence instead of shutting down or pulling back.

  • Difficult or overwhelming experiences lose their grip, allowing them to move forward without the same emotional intensity.

  • Their sense of self-worth becomes more stable, so criticism, peer dynamics, or social pressure don’t shake them as easily.

  • Transitions like moving, changing schools, or shifts in family life feel easier to navigate and less disruptive.
